Why You Should Book Your Newborn Session Early | Phoenixville, Pa

Welcoming a new baby into your family is a magical time, and capturing those precious first moments is something you’ll cherish forever. Newborn photography allows you to freeze time and document all the tiny details—the little toes, sleepy smiles, and the way they fit perfectly in your arms. But to make the most of your newborn session, it’s important to plan ahead. Here’s why booking your newborn session early is essential.

1. The Ideal Time for Newborn Photos

Newborn photography is best done within the first two weeks of your baby’s life, typically between 5-14 days old. During this time, babies are still very sleepy and can be easily posed into those adorable, curled-up positions. After this window, babies become more alert and may not be as comfortable with certain poses. By booking early, you can ensure your session falls within this sweet spot.

2. Secure Your Spot on the Schedule

As a maternity and newborn photographer, my calendar fills up quickly, especially during peak seasons. Booking your session during your second trimester not only guarantees your spot but also gives us ample time to plan your session. Whether you’re envisioning soft, neutral tones or a colorful, whimsical setup, early booking allows us to collaborate on every detail.

3. Peace of Mind Before Baby Arrives

Preparing for a newborn session can feel overwhelming when you’re already busy getting ready for your little one. By booking early, you’ll have one less thing to worry about as your due date approaches. We’ll handle the planning and logistics, so you can focus on your growing family.

4. Customized Experience

Every family is unique, and your newborn session should reflect that. When you book early, we have more time to discuss your preferences, whether it’s incorporating sentimental props, matching outfits, or creating a specific theme. The result is a gallery of images that feels truly personal and special.

5. Professional Availability and Preparation

Booking early ensures you’re working with a professional photographer who has experience handling newborns safely. Early planning also allows me to prepare the studio or travel setup, ensuring everything is sanitized and ready for your baby’s comfort and safety.

How to Book Your Newborn Session

Booking your session is simple! Here’s what the process looks like:

  1. Reach Out Early: Contact me during your second trimester to reserve your due date on my calendar.

  2. Plan the Details: Once booked, we’ll discuss your vision for the session, including color schemes, props, and poses.

  3. Stay Flexible: Babies arrive on their own schedule, so I’ll keep room in my calendar to adjust your session date as needed.

  4. Enjoy the Experience: When the big day arrives, sit back and relax while I capture beautiful images of your newest family member.

Cherish These Moments Forever

Your newborn’s first days are fleeting, but their photographs will last a lifetime. By booking your session early, you’re ensuring these memories are preserved in the most beautiful way possible. If you’re expecting and ready to capture the joy of this new chapter, don’t wait—let’s start planning your perfect newborn session today!

Some Common Questions About Fall Family Sessions | Chester County Photograpy

Q: What is the best time of day for fall photos?
A: The best time for fall photos is during the golden hour, which is the hour after sunrise or the hour before sunset. The soft, warm light creates a beautiful glow and enhances the rich colors of the fall foliage.

Q: What should we wear for our fall photography session?
A: For a fall session, I recommend layering your outfits in warm, rich tones like burgundy, mustard, or forest green. Textures like knits and flannels work beautifully and add depth to your photos. Just make sure everyone feels comfortable and confident!

Q: What if the weather is unpredictable?
A: Fall weather can be a bit tricky, but we can always have a backup plan. If it’s rainy or too cold, we can reschedule or move the session to an indoor location with natural light.

Q: How can we keep our kids engaged during the session?
A: To keep kids engaged, try bringing along their favorite toys or snacks. I also use playful prompts and activities to keep them entertained and capture their genuine smiles.

Newborn Preparation for a Studio Baby Session in Phoenixville Pa

What Should Parents do to Prepare for their Newborn Photography Session?

Preparing for your newborn photo session at my Phoenixville studio is a breeze with a few simple tips. To ensure a smooth experience, please arrive with your baby well-fed and sleepy for the best results. I recommend feeding baby around 20-30 minutes before the session. I also ask parents to dress babies in easily removable clothes, Zipper onesies are the BEST! I also recommend bringing an extra bottle and pacifier if baby takes them. Nursing can also be done at any point we feel that baby may need it. Bring along any special blankets you’d like to incorporate, as well as extra diapers and wipes for comfort. The clothes, wraps and setups will be provided for the baby. A calm and relaxed environment helps us capture those precious, timeless moments so it is important for parents to remain calm when or if baby seems upset or wakes up during the session. Remember the best time for newborn photography is within the first 2-3 weeks, when they are still sleepy and easier to pose.

Some packages includes the family to be part of the session. For this portion, I urge parents to look their best (nails, hair, skin and makeup) although you may not feel like it at this point in your life. Mommas will also have access to all the dresses in my Client Closet! So no need to worry about what to wear! You are more than welcome to wear your own outfits as well if you would like, but the option of the Client Closet is available.

For a seamless session and stunning newborn photos in Phoenixville, preparation is key. Feel free to reach out with any questions before your appointment to ensure a wonderful experience!

Whats the Best Time for Maternity Photos? |Philadelphia Preganacy Photos

One Common Question I get asked often is, what is the best time to do Maternity Photos?

Maternity photos are such a memorable time in your life and it deserves to be captured. Your beautiful body is changing and bringing to you this miracle. I am not saying it is easy, btw. I have been blessed to go through 3. So I know going through each one was very different and not always a walk in the park. There are the benefits like glowing skin, gorgeous locks, and special attention from others. There are some downsides like tiredness, sleeplessness, and swollen feet/ankles. Overall, even if you don’t feel your best you should still get your photos taken because you will not only miss the baby bump but you will also want to relive these moments through photos later on in life. The truth is although this can seem to be a difficult time in your life, there is something magical about it as well.

Now lets discuss what would be the best time to get these pregnancy photos taken.

Since each trimester varies in levels of comfort, I would recomment booking sometime in your 2nd trimester. The best time would be around 28-35 weeks. This is the time your belly is showing but you are able to move around comfortably. This timeframe is also when you feel your best. You are resting better and eating is back to normal. In the end, I would suggest doing the pregnancy photos when you are comfortable moving around, feeling your best, at the same time carrying your precious baby belly:)

Some Questions about Booking a Newborn Session with me! Phoenixville Pa

Here are some commonly asked questions about my Newborn Sessions:

When do I book the session?

You can reach out to me any time you feel comfortable! I do encourage you to book the session about 2 -3 months before the due date. I will book a date about 7-14 days after the due date. This is a tentative booking and can change if baby comes early or late. All you have to do is send me a quick message. We can then decide if the booked date still works or needs to change.

What do you wear to the session?

If this is a family session, the client closet is included! This is a variety of beautiful dresses for mommas! No need to worry about what to wear! All of the wraps, clothes and setups are also included for the baby! I do suggest dads to wear a neutral color top with jeans or khakis. If there are siblings, they should also wear neutral colors (dresses for girl and tops/jeans/khakis for boys).

How do I prepare before the session?

When you have booked a session with me, I will send you a Preparation SHeet to help you prepare for the session. This will help you get ready! The day of the session all you have to do is feed the baby about 20-30 minutes before arrival, dress them in easily removable clothes, and bring them in! I do suggest you bring an extra bottle and pacifier if baby takes them. Nursing can also be done in the studio if needed at any time.

Family Photos with a New Baby ! Mainline Newborn Family Photos

It was such a pleasure to capture this sweet family recently a second time around. Just a few months ago, we met for the first time while momma was expecting and we took some gorgeous Maternity photos outdoors during the Fall. Now with their new addition, we got together again this time at my studio in Phoenixville, Pa. This time they brought their second beautiful, rainbow baby, Olivia. Big Sis was promoted! Big sister was the happiest and most comfortable child I have photographed recently. Overall, the entire session went by smoothly while catching up about their new lives adding a newborn in their lives. Wishing this family all the love and best as they continue to adjust to this beautiful new addition.
